4/27/2007- ACTLab TV will be hosting a special summer internship program where they will be revamping technology guides, websites, as well as host workshops for independent multimedia producers.

10/5/06- ACTLab TV is proud to announce in collaboration with Bananacity.org the release of "Praveen and Friends". Leveraging the power of the Internet, the two organizations combine digital mass communication with the more personal tool of grassroots local distribution. Unlike over saturated distribution systems such as myspace.com, where millions of songs compete for attention in a massive sensory overload, the two organizations are creating a "microbrewery for the Internet" - empowering the listener and artist to feel more connected.The project was all done on a shoe string budget, which has been documented and a "how-to" guide will soon be released.

7/25/06- Our Summer of Code Intern Evan Wilson has released a beta version of his Bittorrent Server Helper, this server side software allows a broadcaster the ability to generate bittorrent files on the fly with the use of watch folders.  Click here to check it out.

6/22/06- ACTLab TV would like to thank Nancy Schiesari for donating content.  Nancy Schiesari is a world renowned film maker, as well as professor at the University of Texas at Austin.  The films donated deal with current real world issues.  Click here to check them out.

5/24/06- Along with the New Media Initiative and Google, ACTLab TV would like to recognize the following three students as our Summer of Code Interns for 2006.

Evan Wilson- Evan will be working on a BitTorrent Server Helper this summer.

Timothée Anglade- Tim will be working on content management system for ACTLab TV.

Richard Reedy- Randy will be working on a a CGI interface to work with the headless BitTorrent Client.

5/1/06- ACTLab TV would like to announce that we will be officially working with Google and The New Media Initiative this summer in "The Summer of Code 2006", an initiative to bring coders to opensource projects, for more details, check out NMI's website.
