Brandon Wiley - Co-Founder, Director (2004-present)
|  | Brandon is the co-founder of ACTLab TV, as well as the President of the Foundation for Decentralization Research. As the Co-founder of Freenet, and inventor of Alluvium, he is one of the foremost experts on peer-to-peer technology. His business accolades include creating B2B P2P networks, as well as boot strapping his own tech start up RingLight . In addition to Brandon's StartUp,he is now in pursuit of his PhD at the School of Information at UT Austin. |  | Joseph is a student at the University of Texas at Austin, pursuing a PhD in New Media in the ACTLab. He is the co-founder of ACTLab TV, as well as the builder of all of the office hardware. Like Brandon, Joey has a passion for Business, he assists in running a Hi-Fi Shop in Austin, TX called Austin Hi-Fi , as well as runs his own Tech consulting business where he helps small businesses work develop web presences. |  | Stephanie has a deep background in movie collections and media studies and theory. She is currently working on her Master's in Radio, Television and Film. Her goals for ACTLab TV is to create a Print/Media campaign that will strengthen our abilities to reach more communities and participants. |  | Donovan Gentry is the ACTLab's current master of the Unknown, from time travel to hardware hacking to Rock Opera's Donovan's pursuit for excellent project development is second to none. Donovan hopes to work with ACTLab TV to help maintain the blog and other social media outlets. He also looks forward to developing working with Arthur, Dan and Joey on the Hackerspace being developed in the Death Star.Donovan is currently pursuing a masters degree in Radio, Television and Film. |  | Arthur Kendrick is an RTF undergraduate who is working with ACTLab TV to create a Hacker space where makers can gather and "make stuff" as well as learn new skills. His work often centers around electricity, software and much more. Check out his ACTLab website for more information. | Dan Hemingson - Lord of the Sound Wave, ACTLab TV Lead Audio Engineer (2006-present)
|  | Dan Hemingson is the ACTLab TV's Lead Audio Engineer. His work has been so successful that he recently presented his work to the Audio Society of Engineers in Munich Germany. He work in the ACTLab includes surround sound environments, microphone development and audio hardware development. Dan's hopes to work with ACTLab TV to create documentation for the audio equipment available in the ACTLab, as well as help develop out the ACTLab Hacker space with Arthur. |  | Ashley Arechiga is ACTLab TV's resident ACTLab TV animation master. Her work with Puppetry and physical spaces is inspiring on many levels. Ashley hopes to work with ACTLab TV to raise the awesome-o-meter up a notch by helping facilitate specials projects, such as artist events and much more. |  | Greg is an audio engineer and software programmer, working for OMG Audio,and is the force behind the Incoherence audio visualization library. He is also currently employed at Bittorrent where he is one of the lead programmers. He wrote and maintains the Alluvium Media Player. | Sandy Stone - Goddess (1992-present) |  | Sandy is the ACTLab TV goddess, she provides the inspiration, motivation and heart that makes the existance of ACTLab TV possible. Check out sandystone.com for more information. | Robert Fancher - Radio Operations (2005-2006) |  | Robert is now a graduate from UT Austin. While at ACLTab TV he worked on the scheduling and setup of the audio stream, while also digitizing and transcoding content. He also produced original content, merchandise for ACTLab TV, maintained the website, public relations, and promotion. He has lots of experience in this area as a regular DJ for KVRX 91.7 Student Radio, where he is was the RPM director, managing the Electronic section of their music library. Check out his ACTLab website for more information | Dustin Younse - Support and Aggregator (2004-present) |  | Once thought to be the woolly mamoth, Dustin is a legend in his own right. His support and ability to help create "stuff" has been truly amazing. He is most famous for having created Club Zimmergy, the first UT home brew club. Also he is known for Egg, a short film he submitted to the ACLTLab TV 2006 Under The Radar film festie. He was accepted into the RTF MA program for the Fall of 2009 where he hopes to work in the ACTLab and develop new and exciting projects, as well as assist others. Check out his ACTLab website for more information | Randy Kelley - TV Operations (2005-2006) |  | Randy is now a graduate from the Radio-Television-Film student at the University of Texas at Austin. His duties at ACTLab TV included scheduling, digitizing, transcoding content, producing original content, working on merchandise for ACTLab TV, maintaining the website, public relations, and getting coffee! |  | Evan is an undergraduate English student at the University of Texas at Austin. He joined the team in spring 2005, though he originally began helping out in the fall of 2005 with the ACTLab TV release party (the picture here is of him DJing at that party). Evans duties include making bumps, general graphic design, organization and many other things. In Evans free time he DJ's and makes cool videos. Check out his ACTLab website for more information. It should also be noted that Evan was a ninja hacker for one summer and wrote the first bittorrent automated server, which you can read about on slashdot. | | Katherine Shanley - Activist (2006) |  | Katherine Shanley- Katherine was a Communications major at the University of Texas at Austin. She helped coordinate many events for ACTLab and ACTLab TV. Shanley brings a lot of energy to anything that comes her way. Her ability to come into a classroom/meeting and really brighten up the room is amazing. Check out Katherine's ACTLab website. | Timothée Anglade - Summer of Code Intern (2006) |  | Timothée Anglade- Tim is an undergraduate Telecommunications major at the National Institute of Applied Sciences in Lyon, France (INSA Lyon), and will soon be a graduate student at the University of Maryland, College Park. On his free time at INSA Lyon, he founded and headed a new media-oriented radio station and was producer and host of an english radio show dubbed 'Homework'. As a Google Summer of Code student, he'll worked on a Video CMS (content management system) designed for media organizations. | | Aimy Steadman - ACTLab TV Dance Inspiration Director and Wizard (2007-present) |  | Aimy Steadman is an advertising, business, social entrepreneurship and nonprofits student at UT. She's interested in promoting creativity through community and technology. She is always happy to think of new initiatives and work hard to see them through. Currently she is heading the Wikreate peer-to-peer learning project. In her free time she paints and goes for rides on her sweet tricycle. | | Praveen Ayyagari- Muse and Musician (2006-present) |  | Praveen is an extremely talented musician based in Austin, TX and former ACTLab wizard on the brink of his future. He is the proverbial chocolate coating on the ACTLab chocolate covered pretzel; his contributions continue to sweeten ACTLab adventures. | | Saturday - ACTLab TV Lead Website Designer (2007-present) |  | Saturday is our local creative genius. He is currently involved in several projects involving puppets, circuit bending, silk screening, evil world domination, and fluffy bunny rabbits. He currently acts as chief ACTLabTV web designer and creative engineer. | | Jose Alvarado - ACTLab TV Content Creator (2007-present) |  | Jose is an artist and radio, telelvision and film student that joins us from Monterey, Mexico. He is co-art directing our new websites and developing some individual art pieces and installations. His cheerful attitude and enthusiastic participation always makes every day a beautiful day. | | Julia Shackelford- Superb Photo/Copy Editor (2007-present) |  | Julia recently graduated with a degree in English and Radio, Television, and Film. She is rocked' ACTLab style full time copy editing, searching, and editing images for our new websites. She currently works writing scripts for video games. | | Keef Rutledge- Video Library Wizard (2007-present) |  | Keef was born in the Bungalows, raised by a pair of chickens, and then became the most ultimate video tagger known to man! He does all things involving video library archiving and taggery here at the ACTLab when he's not directing musical activities at KVRX 91.7 FM. | | Sebastian Bisbal- Animation Extraordinare (2007-present) |  | Sebastian is a Chilean animator and student. He will be heading up the Chilean ACTLab TV division. During his time at UT, he taught a class on making experimental film accessible to all. | | Brian Chamblee- ACTLab TV Helper (2007-present) |  | Brian Chamblee is a Czech and philosophy student. He is actively involved at the student radio station KVRX 91.7 FM and likes to help out at the ACTLab TV offices in his spare time. He likes minimalist web page design. | | Drake Wilson - Resident Sorcerer (2007-present) |  | Drake Wilson is here from other worlds to help the humans. After recently graduating college and relocating to the sunny Austin, TX Drake has been spending some time in the ACTLab helping Joey, Saturday, and Aimy with technical problems, filling up the Tetris high-score charts (his most recent high was 270,000+ points!) and hinting at a possible attempt to recreate the game Cube. He is quite a unique and treasured individual. | |
